Little Things about Summer, Camping and Fishing

This was the long awaited and anticipated adventure of the summer - Grandaddy Lake. The kids don't get to start this privilege until they are 8 years of age because it is a 4 mile hike each way up switch backs, backpacking to a high wilderness area for multiple nights. It was my daughter's first year backpacking up to the lake. She not only caught the first fish, but caught the most. Although it seems like a "little thing" to catch the first fish, she had never been fishing before. She smoked her grandpa, dad and brother at the sport. It will be a summer to remember.
