Description
For the scraplifters challenge I was inspired by one of audosborne's pages (see attached). Since I didn't have any of the kit that she used, I tried to match things up & relate it to the image chosen; which is my husband as a boy. I went with a pencil instead of a fountain pen, army men instead of a rocking horse & a worn/textured bkg in place of her soft palette textured bkg.

I really, really, really like these two lo's! And the one that you did w/ the picture of your husband and son @ your daughter's soccer game...fabulous!

My husband wasn't so supportive of me designing all of the time - that is until he saw a couple designs with him in. He now has a list for me; however, I still have to wait until the family is asleep to work on them. :(

Thanks for the nice comments. I was really surprised to see that this design won last week's challenge. My husband believes that it probably had more to do with the picture of him than the layout itself. ;) I just want to say thanks for all of you who are my daily/weekly inspirations!

Congratulations on winning the challenge. I'm very flattered that you choose my design. Thanks for the compliment!! By the way, you asked how I did my School Days LO..i have a program on my computer called Microsoft Digital Image Editor. I extracted the picture in that program and highlighted the edges. For the bottem record, I made a black circle and a blue circle, then I cropped a copy of the bg paper and turned it into a circle for the center of the record.

Congratulations. I love both LOs. I need to get out some of the old pics of my sisters and I when we were playing sports. You've inspired me.
